About Pharmacy Solutions
Who is Pharmacy Solutions?
Pharmacy Solutions is a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy based in Arlington, Texas, serving patients and providers nationwide. Founded in 1990, we specialize in preparing patient-specific compounded medications and carrying pharmaceutical grade supplements trusted by healthcare practitioners across the country.
What makes Pharmacy Solutions different from a retail pharmacy?
We focus on compounded preparations rather than stocking commercially manufactured medications. When a commercial product isn’t the right fit, whether because of dosage, form, allergens, or availability, we work with your healthcare provider to prepare a medication built around your specific needs.
Where is Pharmacy Solutions located?
Our pharmacy is located in Arlington, Texas. We serve local patients in person and ship to patients in 48 states. You can find directions and hours on our Contact page.
What are your hours?

Prescriptions and Ordering
Can I pick up my prescription in person?
Yes. We’d love the chance to meet you. Stop by our Arlington location during business hours and we’ll help you get what you need.
Can you ship my prescription?
Yes. While we’re not exclusively a mail-order pharmacy, we ship compounded prescriptions to patients in 48 states. Provide your current mailing address when you place your order.
Can someone else pick up my prescription for me?
Yes, as long as they can verify pertinent information such as your date of birth, address, and phone number.
How long does a compounded prescription take to prepare?
We strive for same-day service on most compounded prescriptions. Some preparations take longer depending on complexity. Once we receive your prescription, one of our pharmacists can give you a more specific estimate for your medication.
Can I refill my prescription automatically?
Yes. We offer a free auto-shipment program that refills your prescription at a predetermined date of your choosing, in accordance with your healthcare provider’s instructions. Call us to enroll or ask questions.
Can I meet privately with a compounding pharmacist?
Yes. Call to schedule a time that works for you, and one of our pharmacists will meet with you in our private consultation room. You’re welcome to bring a spouse, family member, or caregiver.
Compounding
What is compounded medication?
Compounded medications are prescriptions customized for an individual patient. A licensed pharmacist prepares the medication based on your provider’s prescription, adjusting dosage, form, ingredients, or combinations to meet your specific needs.
Who might need a compounded medication?
Patients who need a strength or dosage that isn’t commercially available, patients with allergies or sensitivities to fillers and dyes, patients who have difficulty swallowing pills, children who need liquid or flavored medications, and patients whose commercial medication has been discontinued are common candidates. Your healthcare provider can help determine whether compounding is right for you.
Can Pharmacy Solutions fill a sterile prescription?
Yes. We operate a fully equipped sterile compounding cleanroom that meets USP ⟨797⟩ standards. From eye drops to injectables, our team has the training and facilities to prepare sterile compounded medications safely.
Does Pharmacy Solutions fill sterile eye drops?
Yes. We have a PCAB-accredited sterile cleanroom equipped to compound sterile eye drops, including preservative-free formulations when prescribed.
Can Pharmacy Solutions compound medication for my pet?
Yes. We prepare medications for a wide variety of species, from household pets to exotic and large animals. Pets that resist taking medication often do well with flavored or alternative dosage forms. Have your veterinarian call us or bring in your prescription and we’ll take it from there.
Supplements and Shop
Can Pharmacy Solutions help me choose the right supplement?
Yes. We have a nutritional consultant on staff and pharmacists who can help you sort through options based on your goals, health history, and any medications you’re taking. You can reach us by phone, in person, or through our Ask a Pharmacist form.
What's the difference between the supplements you carry and retail supplements?
We carry pharmaceutical grade supplements, which are produced under manufacturing standards aligned with those used for prescription medications. Retail supplements vary widely in quality, and the label doesn’t always reflect what’s in the bottle. You can learn more on our Pharmaceutical Grade Advantage page.
Do I need a prescription to buy supplements from your shop?
No. Our online store carries pharmaceutical grade supplements available for immediate purchase without a prescription. Some brands are only available in-office through our network of healthcare providers to ensure proper guidance.
Insurance, Payment, and Shipping
Will my insurance cover my prescription?
Pharmacy Solutions can bill most major insurance providers. Like all prescription medications, coverage isn’t guaranteed until a claim has been processed. Provide us with your current insurance card when you submit your prescription and we’ll determine your coverage as dictated by your insurance provider.
Are my prescriptions eligible for HSA or FSA payment?
Compounded prescription medications are generally eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement when prescribed by a healthcare provider. If you’d like to use your HSA or FSA card directly at checkout, reach out to our team before placing your order and we’ll confirm what options are available.
Do you fill regular prescriptions for blood pressure, diabetes, or other common medications?
We focus on compounded preparations and don’t stock commercially available drugs. If you’re working with a commercial medication that could benefit from a compounded alternative, talk with your healthcare provider about whether compounding might be a good fit.
How do I inform my doctor about Pharmacy Solutions?
If your provider isn’t familiar with compounding, have them call us and one of our pharmacists will walk them through how we work and what we offer. If their schedule doesn’t permit, let us know and we’ll reach out directly. Our goal is to help your provider understand the full range of options available for your care.
Didn't Find What You Were Looking For?
